Some rental properties require you to pay service charges. Service charges are fees for additional supplies and services provided by the landlord. This varies per complex and includes, for example, electricity and cleaning of the common areas, elevator installations and window cleaning.

With some rental properties, you pay an advance for service charges in addition to your basic rent. This amount is settled with the annual settlement. Every year you will receive a statement of the service costs actually incurred. This may result in an additional payment or refund.

The landlord may increase your advance service charge annually. The landlord does this if it appears that the advance payment made by you is no longer sufficient for the expected service costs. We will inform you in advance of any increase in your advance payment.
